#LOVELULUS
My day is incomplete without browsing through LuLu*s huge collection of dresses! In fact, I bought few pieces of dresses from them before that I still wear from time to time — check out my Blanket Fort Dress here for proof — and obviously I want to add more! Btw, Skater dresses used to make me cray, cray as I also have loved that style but this time, a Black Shift Dress knows exactly what my heart is all about!
Shift dresses may be the least favorite of my husband for me because he prefers clothes that show off my curves and contours more than those loosely fitting dresses that make my waist ignored, my hips hidden, and my stick-out butt slightly unseen, but I love shift dresses and let me tell you why!

SHIFT DRESS DETAILS
There might be a lot of variations that have been made since shift dresses became popular in the 1960s but short, straight shape, and high neckline are the basic features of this iconic dress.
Extra features may be added like a collar, an A-line skirt, and an empire silhouette giving a high-waisted appearance to hide thick waist.
TIMELESS STAPLE
I believe everybody can wear a shift dress: Young girls, teens, women in their 20s, 30s and even my mother can definitely pull it off. The cut is very acceptable to all body types. There are days that I want to hide my belly and a shift dress can miraculously camouflage it. I love wearing different styles of dresses and I know you can relate when I say that there are just some pieces that can make you uncomfortable (I am looking at you, Bodycon!) but a shift dress is one of those that can give you ease and comfort at all times! Very elegant and sophisticated. It’s very flexible that you can wear it from day to night!
Also, if I wish to feed my man’s visual hunger, I can easily pair my shift dress with a belt to emphasize my waist. Versatile indeed.
Do you love shift dresses? How many do you own? Thank you for visiting me today! Until next time!
To be honest don’t own one shift dress as I find it to be the most unflattering shape on my body type.
