GÜD DAY, MATE!
Let me tell you a secret, I have a distant relationship with body lotions as I only apply them when the weather is cold. You must understand that I do love my favorite body lotion and I get the point that all skin types need help to hold in hydration. Who would say no to smooth, moisturized, and soft skin, right? However, they do bother me at times especially when the humidity strikes, where body lotions tend to feel heavy and sticky. Can you relate?
Anyway, weather has been fairly cold lately that made me finish up a bottle of Jergens Age Defying Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer in a short period of time, which I forgot to review, btw, but I loved that one. I was planning to make a repurchase but my husband’s relatives in Canada sent me stuff during the holidays and one of them was this body lotion from Burt’s Bees. In fact, I just opened it last week so let me tell you my thoughts on this one so far.

MY TAKE
To be honest, I was a little bit hesitant to try something that is new to me. I’ve never heard this line (except for the brand Burt’s Bees) before but I am glad I gave it a try. The fragrance is too much for my liking though. It’s too strong that its smell spreads in the whole room. However, it does not give me headaches so far. I tend to get headaches with products that have fragrance as an ingredient. Also, I have a sensitive nose! That’s why every time I do my skin care or anything that touches my fingers, I always remind myself not to touch my nose because for sure, the non-stop sneeze will ruin my whole day.
All in all, I absolutely love this lotion! Super light! My skin is extremely soft! I’ve been applying it almost every night before going to sleep. Night time is the best time for me to apply lotions just because it’s more peaceful meaning I don’t need to wash my hands just like I do during the day. I apply this lotion on my hands, arms, elbows, legs, feet, and my butt cheeks!
What is the best body lotion or moisturizers for humid weather? According to the news, we will be welcoming the summer season two weeks from now. Bye, bye, cold weather!
We rarely have hot, humid weather, so I don’t really have a recommendation for that condition.

I had no idea Burt’s Bees had another product range, cool!
I find that oils are better during hot and humid weather even if that is counter intuitive. After showering, while I’m still wet (not damp) still in the tub, I take about a teaspoon of sweet almond oil and apply it all over my body. It spreads very well as it mixes with the drops of water still on me. And after having massaged it all over for a minute or so, I towel dry gently. Result is no heavy creams or fragrances and happy, plump, moisturized skin.
Body lotions are really great for the skin. I noticed that this product has a natural solutions that are really good for the skin. I’ve also heard that body lotions are great use especially night. Thank you for sharing your review with this product!
