OUR MENTAL MAKE-UP ABOUT PINK
The color pink always reminds me of my former college professor. According to her, if you want people to give up their seat for you on a crowded public transportation, always wear a pink top or a pink dress — Who wants to try this in motion? Supposedly, this is somewhat accurate because our frame of mind towards the pink color puts us in tap with our nurturing side, which is either the need to receive or to give.
While the MAC Please Me Lipstick (US$16.00 for 3 g / 0.1 US oz) is my first pink lipstick in matte finish ever, I can tell that this particular shade may give the appearance that you need love and affection — I am talkin’ ’bout color psychology again here. Anyway, I purchased this tube at Nordstrom a month ago and experienced mixed emotions after its first application on my lips. Intrigued? Find out why below!

MAC Please Me Lipstick is described as a muted-rosy-tinted pink. Just like most MAC Cosmetics lipsticks, Please Me smelled and tasted like vanilla, which can be addicting if pursued without restraint. Very creamy, highly-pigmented, long-wearing, and has fine yellow undertones. However, be cautioned that solely looking at the tube is too unreliable as the true color of this shade may only be revealed when swiped on your arm or applied on your lips.
I love the feel of the toned-down finish of Please Me and it’s easy to admit that admiration here because I have an intense love relationship over matte lipsticks in general especially red mattes. HINT: MAC Viva Glam I.
I’ve become quite accustomed to my red lipsticks. Wearing red lips makes me powerful and confident. On the other hand, when I wore Please Me for the first time, it made me feel weak, helpless, and shy. Was this supposed to happen?
I am trying to wear Please Me on a regular basis and I am starting to love this lipstick. I sometimes layer it with Maybelline Lipstick in POW2 on top to make the appearance darker and warmer. You should try Please Me if you are madly in love with light pink lipsticks.

I think this shade looks gorgeous on you and I’d definitely wear it too. Pink lipsticks are my favorite. I think you feel this way because you’re just not used to wearing muted shades but you should definitely keep wearing it!

That’s a great idea! I have a lip lacquer that washes me out, and I thought of getting a darker lip liner or lipstick underneath. Though sometimes, I am lazy to do some extra steps! Haha! 🙂
