BLACK HAIR NO MORE
I am very happy to announce that I have a new hair color! After three decades of existence, I finally dyed my hair — Yes, my hair was a virgin! I had been loving my natural black hair for so long until I started seeing these strands of grey hair on my head. I used to hide them by changing my hair partition and it worked for me for the last five years. Good thing my silver locks were just situated on one spot. However, they started to get longer because I refused to pluck them a long time ago and I recently noticed that they were more grey hair growing out. Gosh, I am gettin’ old by the minute.
At one point, I thought I can just let it grow and go grey naturally — My husband sometimes calls me Jean Grey. Cute, right? — but my confidence level was beginning to hit rock bottom so last Monday, I already did it!
Although I waited for two and a half hours and the only source of my entertainment was reading a Yes! Magazine, I absolutely love the color that my hairstylist picked for me: Mocah Dimension. Plus, I received a 50% off for everything except for the haircut — Layered hair again! To add, the color looks a lot lighter under the natural lighting than indoor lighting. Well, you will see pictures of me soon with the new hair using the sunlight when I start taking photos again at the balcony.
When did you start dyeing your hair? Do you DIY or hair salon all the way? That’s all for now! Take care and have a nice day!

It looks nice to me! I need to get my hair done so bad!
I’m digging the new color and haircut, Laarni! I think you made a great decision! You look a long younger and more sassy! 😉

I started going lighter when I was around 18 and stopped around two years ago. my hair was so damaged it just couldn’t take it no more.
Your new color really suits you, I like it a lot.

Looks so pretty! Ah, yes .. gray my arch enemy. I think my grays came in mid 30’s and I tried to hide it with highlighting, which worked for a bit until I just had to suck it up and have all my roots done. I mostly go to a salon, but if I’m desperate – I’ll do it myself.

I’ve always done DIY (or those free applications with hairdye purchase at malls) until I got a free any-length color at a very chic salon. I went as light as I could go, but then the upkeep is a pain in the butt. Might have to return to dark brown, but I’m trying to find a way to do it gradually. It would be a shame to just dye dark over the lighter parts, since it took so much effort to get them that light to begin with.
