Review: Maybelline ColorShow Plum Perfect Lipstick

You know you are showing signs of aging if you are starting to get wrinkled elbows like I am now.  I told my husband about them and he was like, “Hunny, your soul could never grow old, it’s evergreen.”  #ROFL.  My elbows look all right but sometimes I compare mine to other younger girls who have tighter skin.  Hah.  Sometimes turning grey shocks me but I love aging and I think it’s a beautiful thing.  On a related note, did you know that Maybelline New York was founded in 1915?  Pretty old, right?  Old and still beautiful and it still making a lot of women beautifuller.

PLUM PERFECT

Maybelline ColorShow Plum Perfect Lipstick (US$3.00 or PHP165.00) is a subtle deep purple.  It’s very moisturizing, buildable, and shiny on the lips — If you prefer the no-shine finish, blot it with a tissue.  It smells nice, too, like grapes.  However, my tiny issue so far with this lipstick is that it makes my lower lips slightly dry when I make an attempt to re-apply.  All in all, I love this lipstick and I am sure I will be using it until the wet days are over.

DEEP PURPLE LIDS, PLUM LIPS

For those who might be interested, I have a separate blog post on how I did my eyeshadows here: Deep Purple Smokey Eyes.  I love how this look turned out.  Edgy and sexy.  I also kind of styled my hair here that’s why it looked messy — Okay, rephrased: Edgy, sexy, and messy.  *laughs*  Also, I’ve been in the mood for smokey eyes lately, this was the second time I did smokey this week and it’s so weather appropriate.
