DO YOU MASCARA?

Hello guys!  Today, I will be talking about my new black mascara from Maybelline Volum’ Express line.  Just so you are aware, I rarely buy mascaras — I only lift and curl my eyelashes using a curler and I’ll call it a day.  In fact, since I passionately got into makeup almost seven years ago, I think I’ve only had more or less five tubes.  I also think that this cosmetic is nonessential to me as I have very thick and long lashes.  As you can tell, I am very hairy from head to toe.  *laughs*  However, I wanted to try something new that can actually give my lashes some definition, and possibly can turn out in photos because social media.

I read a lot of good reviews about Maybelline mascaras, in general, so I had to check out at least one.  Here’s my review!

YOUR EVERYDAY MASCARA

The Maybelline Volum Express The Hypercurl Mascara (US$ 3.00 or PHP 199.00) claims that can give fresh natural, everyday look, volume and definition.  Has an irritation-proof gel formula and it’s waterproof.  The wand’s brush is somewhat curved.  Exclusively released in Asia.

IS IT FOR YOU?

YES if you have sparse lashes and you want volume.
YES if you want to curl your lashes, it has a curved brush.
YES if you want a natural, everyday look.

3 MONTHS ONLY

Most mascaras have a shelf life of three months.  I opened this tube last September and will stop using it sometime in December.  I may be very resistant to toss my lipsticks beyond their expiration date but I am very obedient when it comes to my mascaras.  To add, newly-opened mascaras perform better so it’s practical to save your money from pricey mascaras out there and choose drugstore ones instead.

LAST THOUGHTS

I love this mascara!  It meets my needs!  It’s so light, non-clumpy, and it’s easy to remove.  Have you found the one?  What’s your favorite drugstore mascara?  I am very interested to try other formulas!
