Rainbow Loom is Love (when worn)

Check out my Rainbow Loom bracelet, which my brother-in-law recently gave me.  These weaved rubber bands’ colors are pink (between french rose and brink pink) and blue (between true blue and dodger blue) and it has a thingymajigy that says, LOVE.

I was introduced to Rainbow Loom last April when my friends and I participated in TOMS’ annual event called, “One Day Without Shoes.”  TOMS had a table for it and there were a couple of ladies who demonstrated how a plastic toy loom used to weave rubber bands in different colors into bracelets.  I was very unfamiliar with it.  I just thought, this must be some sort of pop culture in today’s generation.  *laughs*  But eventually I was right.

Rainbow Loom initially targeted children aged 8 to 14 but you know here in the Philippines, everybody is hooked.  Every arm has Rainbow Loom bands and it’s crazy!

What are the reasons why Rainbow Loom is well liked by most people?  I am thinking: It’s easy to make one, it shows a great deal of your effort, it’s very creative, it’s fun, and it’s fashionable.  I think its popularity will continue to skyrocket until next year.

Now, show me your arms!!!

xoxo, laarni

  1. This is so nice of your brother-in-law! 🙂 I can totally see myself wearing one! Maybe a combination of eggplant purple and gray… with black lettering that says Dream or something! I like to (day)dream a lot, haha! ;D
