DARE TO BE BLAIR
Hey, here’s a fact for all my glamorous visitors: There’s only 12 sleeps until Christmas! Are you freaking out like me? Please divert your attention from wondering where your 13th month pay has left no trace, but rather start picturing your Holiday party makeup!
This year, with the help of my Beauty Gods and Sephora Philippines, I am going Leighton Meester! What a time to be alive and to be Leighton, am I right? Although, I have heaps of beauty icons, I always say yes to Blair Waldorf’s glamor because I am a huge Gossip Girl fan, she is goddamn beautiful and there are just too many wonderful words to describe her!
And if you are a neutral eyeshadow, nude lipstick, and Too Faced lover forever, check out my makeup plan:
(ALL PRODUCTS MENTIONED CAN BE EASILY ACQUIRED ON SEPHORA.PH)
For a true-blue follower of Meenster, I am sure you know that her makeup routine is very low-key: Natural, fresh, and minimal. She usually puts accents on one feature like her lips or eyes, which is also one of my favorite tricks of the trade.
OUR EYES SPEAK BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGE
To achieve my Leighton Meester holiday look, I am picking up this well-loved and gorgeous to the core, Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons. It has 16 shades: Five mattes & 11 sheens. I am thinking of many looks to do with this eyeshadow palette and I am very excited!
I love wearing eyeliners all the time because they make my eyes bigger and wide awake. The Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black and Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Espresso are both great combination. Black for my upper lash line and Espresso for my outer lower waterline or lash line.
The next thing on my list is the Too Faced LashGasm Mascara. It’s an intensely black mascara that claims to make the lashes smooth, full, clump-free, and defined in just one coat. This is perfect for me as I avoid wearing falsies because struggle is real.
As for the brows, I am one of those lucky girls that was born with thick eyebrows. Having low supply of eyebrow products is a normal scene in my stash. So I guess, this Too Faced Brow Quickie Brush-On Waterproof Brow Fiber Gel in Universal Brunette would be enough to naturally fill in the missing gaps and to set my brows in place.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE IS FACE WITH A SMILE
Onto the face… I would like to try Too Faced Born This Way Foundation as it claims to have an “undetectable coverage.” Perfect for girls like me and Leighton who love to achieve a natural-looking face makeup. For your reference, most Beauty Gurus say that the shade Natural Beige matches the NC30 to NC40 gals in MAC Cosmetics.
Then a little bit of Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer in Medium Tan to cover my imperfections like the darkness in my under eye area.
I love making silhouettes and outlines on my face because it makes me creative in my world. Contour and highlight are some techniques to shape and enhance facial features. To achieve it, this cute Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit would be a great addition to my collection.
Onto the apples of my cheeks, I would like to take a shot at Too Faced Love Flush in Justify My Love. It will definitely give me a pretty, youthful, and feminine glow.
I usually carry a face powder that I can easily slide into my bag for light touch ups during the day. The Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation in Medium is a lightweight powder foundation that will leave your face looking flawless. Cruelty free and vegan.
Meanwhile…
YOUR LIPS BLUSH DEEPER SWEETS
A primer like Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Glossy prepares the lips for lip color to make it more vibrant. It helps the color stay longer and your lip products are less likely to smudge, feather, or bleed. A must-have and it’s glossy!
And the last step to finish the look, Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Sugar Daddy. Creamy, pigmented, hydrating and soothing.
I’ve read great things about Zoeva brushes, so if I get the chance, I’d also like to get Zoeva Rose Golden Vol. 2 Luxury Brush Set.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
There you have it! I know that the holidays is everything bold, sparkly and bubbly like your favorite champagne, but I choose to be on the other side of the road this year. Why? Because for nearly a decade, I’ve been wearing my signature red lipstick on Christmas and New Year’s eve like there is no tomorrow. So yeah, this gal needs change, too, people!
How about you, what’s your makeup plan for the upcoming holidays? If you find this post helpful, please share the link in your network. Talk real soon, beauties!
I don’t even wear lipstick most of the time, so the fact that I’ll be wearing lipstick on Christmas is already a big deal in and of itself. Haha. I’d love nude lip colors, but they tend to wash me out. I guess the next best thing [for me] are MLBB shades with a hint of pink or red.
