#SUMMER2015 IS HERE
Let me just give you a little bit of background: My last beach experience was in summer of 2004. You gotta be kidding me! But I’m serious, glorious! In my defense, swimming is one of the least activities that I take pleasure in — No judging please. One great reason is that I am an unfortunate sinker who only knows how to walk and gallop in the water. I know it’s sad but I am exciting though! *laughs*
Anyway, went to southwestern part of Luzon to take a vacation for a day with my family. I’ve been anticipating for this summer getaway since I initiated the plan late last year. Since carrying my daughter from place to place is easier now than before, I thought it would be a cool idea to plan trips and vacations. I definitely had so much fun with this mini-vacay so now I am counting down the days until the next opportunity comes my way.
Few weeks ago, I challenged myself to score a cheap one-piece swimsuit in solid black. Are you curious how it went?
A COCO CABAÑA SWIMSUIT
I already had a hunch that the hunt was going to be a little difficult because what brick-and-mortar stores sell solid color bathing suits these days, anyway? But gladly on my first stop, I found this Coco Cabaña swimsuit (PHP 799.75 for Small size) at SM Megamall Department Store. It also comes in solid white. It is made of 80% Nylon and 20% Elastene. Detailed with netted, upside-down triangle along the center of the chest. Like classic briefs, it has full coverage in the rear and it has a very conservative cut for its fully capped feature in the breast area.
I was aiming for a simple and easy to wear style because I’ve been doing the gold rush since 2012. I’m happy I bought it!
We hit the beach after a couple of hours checking in the hotel room, which was upgraded for free, btw. And I think the sun set at around past 6PM.
OMG! Loved the blue skies and the sun rays!

THE BAD NEWS
If you have a small frame like mine but have big boobs, it might be a problem. I read that it’s hard to find Coco Cabaña swimsuits for big-busted women. I would suggest to try their swimsuits on in different sizes (I think they have sizes up to XL) before making a purchase. For your reference, I have 34As, TMI, lol.
I’M A BIG CAT *GROWLS*
Onto the next swimwear that I brought during the trip, check out this NAFNAF Bathing Suit (PHP 1,200+ for Small size) adorned with spot-on leopard prints in pink-red color hue range. Super sexy and liberating! Features are cutout-sides, halter-straps, and an open back. I purchased this in summer of 2013. I’ve only used it twice and never in public — unless swimming in the rooftop of a condo building is public to you. *grin*
MY SWEETPEA AND ME
Please excuse my squinting-smiling face. We decided to take the pool in the morning and skipped the beach this time. My daughter hated the feel of the sand on her feet and it was so funny. Now, I am loving my sun-kissed glow. Thinking of NC40 in MAC lingo.
Can you swim? Do you love swimming? What style of swimsuits do you prefer? One-piece, two-piece, monokini, or naked? Until next chicka!
On my skin: Nivea Sun Immediate Protection Moisturising Sun Lotion SPF30 PA++; On my face: Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional, POND’S Flawless White BB Cream in Beige, MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Springsheen; On my lips: Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in Anti-Oxidant Berry; On my nails: THEFACESHOP in Neon Yellow.
You look lovely Laarni 🙂

Thank you, Nausheen!!! 😉

I love swimming! Ocean or pool, outdoors or indoors, I´ll be in the water at any opportunity. If I swim for “workout” (which I rarely do), I wear a Speedo black-and-white one piece, on any other occasion I prefer a bikini, most of the times in red.

Hi Linda, swimming is perfect for workout! I agree! I can’t wear bikinis anymore because I delivered my baby by C-section. 😉

Oh, didn’t they do a bikini cut? This is standard here in Germany, the incision runs so deep, it is easily covered by a bikini bottom.
Not by any bikini bottom, of course, as there are many that cover almost nothing, but I tend to stay away from that kind of clothing anyway.

Unforch, mine is vertical. Next time I will try high-waisted bikinis!

I can’t even tell you the last time I wore a swimsuit was! I have huge boobs and a Kim K sized butt so it’s rarely seen out of clothing, lol.

I love going to the beach. 🙂 I make sure that I have at least one trip to the beach per year… or if that’s really not possible, a trip to somewhere with a pool is fine. I collect swimwear and buy at least one per year (or a new one for every trip) since I started collecting in 2006. I usually buy triangle top bikinis because well, I’m not well endowed like you. Hehe.

Loving the red one, Laarni! Although the black one is kind of classy, too! 😉 I can’t swim although I do enjoy walking on and sitting by the beach eating fresh seafood. Hehe. Why does your daughter not like sand??? Haha, that’s funny and cute! <3
IDK why she doesn’t like the sand! hahaha I learned something new! Thanks, Jaa!
