HARD TO COME BY
In Manila, finding the brand Urban Decay Cosmetics can be really difficult and can be very inconvenient, to be edgy yet feminine, however, can be possibly achieved by just one lipstick tube. Sure thing, these two different worlds can exist and live in one woman by just owning an Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Revolution Lipstick in Mrs. Mia Wallace ($22).
But wait a moment, how did this ultra limited-edition lipstick from the “PULP FICTION” collection get here on my third-world-country dresser table in the first place? Keep on reading and I am going to tell you in a little while.
“Pulp Fiction” & “Mrs. Mia Wallace”
Folks from the Urban Decay are major fans of the 1994 gangster, crime fiction, thriller, drama, and indie film, “Pulp Fiction” and to immortalize its 20th anniversary of the said movie this year, they’ve come up a badass makeup collection. It’s no doubt that they’ve chosen Mrs. Mia Wallace as their motivation to inspire them to create this makeup kit, because being feminine, dangerous and fun have been always Urban Decay’s main signatures for over 15 years.
I was about to say goodbye to childhood when this flick was released on the big screen. Since it was rated R, it’s legit to say that I really had no memory if I’ve actually seen this.
CREAMY, BADASS, DEEP BLOOD RED
Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Revolution Lipstick in Mrs. Mia Wallace has an impressive color. Very rich and it’s absolutely amazing. The lipstick applies smoothly and evenly to the lips. Based on my experience, when the lipstick was all set and I tried to put my lips together, there was this certain feeling, which I’ve never experienced before. Well, these must be the Maxi-Lip plums and nourishing oils, which leave lips cushiony soft. I love it!
The tube is about 8cms long and the product is around 2.5cms. It’s quite heavier than the rest of my lipsticks too. It comes in a jet-black case, which makes even more badass.
COOL OR WARM?
According to the other beauty bloggers that have reviewed Mrs. Mia Wallace, this red lipstick has cool undertones. To support that, I thought I can see some blues on my swatches I made or I was just hallucinating. While I still need to learn more on how colors work, I think the shade looks great against my warm undertones — I have fair to medium skin tone, btw. Red lipsticks confuse me sometimes, I tell you.

I once asked my husband who makes paintings for a living about the difference between cool and warm red lipsticks and I followed up with a question, “Why cool red lipsticks also looked decent on my warm undertones?” He just answered me, “Because it’s red.”
I need to ask him again. lol.
HAVE EYE ON MRS. MIA WALLACE
I am sure that you’re going to have strong desires to get Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Revolution Lipstick in Mrs. Mia Wallace if you are a red lipstick fan, in general, and you will enjoy this more if you are a true-blue fan of the motion picture “Pulp Fiction” and you wish to recreate the look of Mrs. Mia Wallace.
If you love Urban Decay products and you own Revolution Lipsticks, it’s nice to add this, too, on your collection.
TURN THUMBS DOWN
Let’s talk about my revulsion. I hate the fact that I can never hate you, Mrs. Mia Wallace, and the fact that you are part of the limited-edition set. kthxbai.
THANK YOU NOTE
I’d like to give a shout-out to my friend, Che, who generously sent me this lipstick. You are 7,140 miles away (I Googled) but I am sending you my love and kisses.
That’s all for now! Wow. That was a long post. Until next time, sweets! Stay cool and badass!
